But how many kids in jr. high, elementary school, etc are going to forgo Facebook and the $1 per month fee for a competing free service? Not to mention less engaged users (and those worried about security/privacy) that couldn't be bothered to set up a payment profile. Facebook should be catering to it's users, not setting up barriers to entry. You only need to look to MySpace to see how quickly you can be replaced... Short term, sure. But how many kids in jr. high, elementary school, etc are going to forgo Facebook and the $1 per month fee for a competing free service? Facebook should be catering to it’s users, not setting up barriers to entry. You only need to look to MySpace to see how quickly you can be replaced…
