Still, out of all this commotion, I do believe some newspapers will switch to non-profit open source models where citizens can submit news stories and the community can vote on their merit. But, the Globe needs more of the type of investigative journalism Murphy refers to. Personally (and I think many of the people I know) get sick of all the celebrity gossip and inane stories that get posted to Boston.com. A refocus on solid investigative journalism (e.g. publishing more of it), would help bring readers back to the Globe. too.
