Another Costly Facebook Mistake

By now it’s well known that writing or posting the wrong thing on Facebook can get you fired. Yet, another example of this came recently when Dan Leone, a west gate chief with the Philadelphia Eagels was fired after posting a negative comment about the team on his Facebook profile.
After former Eagle Brian Dawkins signed with the Denver Broncos as a free agent, Leone wrote, “Dan is [expletive] devastated about Dawkins signing with Denver … Dam Eagles R Retarted!!” on his Facebook page.
Leone was fired by the team a few days later via a phone call even though he had apologized for his comment.
“I shouldn’t have put it up there. I was ticked off, and I let my emotions go, but I didn’t offend any one person or target a specific individual. I was just upset that we lost such a great guy,” he told the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Leone had worked for the Eagles the past six years.
