Colbert on Gates and Mosquitoes: This Was a Microsoft Release, There’s No Way It Didn’t Have Some Virus 3

The BIG news out of TED last week was Bill Gates releasing a swarm of proto-malarial mosquitoes on the crowd, to make the point that “there is no reason only poor people should be infected.”

Word quickly spread through the Twittersphere, before the the Drudge Retort and Valleywag made it into a “major” global story.

However, the final laugh went to the Colbert Report, with this amusing look at why the mosquitoes must have contained the virus, despite Gates’ claim that they were virus free. The PR folks in Redmond probably weren’t laughing.
